This move was done to align with Nerd’s vision of keeping the house organized, clean and top-notch. Updates for this week: 1. We now have another VC firm that we are talking to and evaluating the right one to go with. Our previous VC firm that pledged to bring in 25M USD is on standby. We don’t want to dilute more than we need to, hence the delay. 2. We recently bought an industry leader strategist and marketeer to help take the project to the next level. Lining all the stars before money is thrown. A lot of money will be thrown and just want to capitalize on the momentum. 3. We have a meeting scheduled this week with a top tier firm (multi-billion dollar) to discuss collaboration and avenues to help grow the project and vice versa. Idea is to showcase the tech that has been developed and how to bring it to the masses. 4. The first edition of the Comic books goes live this weekend for minting. Price is 0.1 OMNIA and only 100 copies in circulation. One wallet, 1 NFT limit. 5. Drink 2 Earn is coming. Not Beer but a beverage that all of us including our families drink and will be delivered globally. 6. Node 2 Earn is also coming. Today was the first day of the Creative Destruction Labs Web3/Blockchain Program, and I wanted to share my experience and assessment. First, “CDL is a global startup program for seed-stage, science-based companies. The program employs an objectives-based mentoring process by a selected group of accomplished entrepreneurs, angel investors, economists, and scientists.” – Yes, I plagiarized this from their website. CDL’s primary focus is mentoring, advising, and guiding promising startups to success. It also provides access to funding opportunities, supplemental resources, and other specialized support (e.g. legal, regulatory). This program is INTENSE and more of an opportunity for us than I initially realized. It is highly competitive and we are humbled to have been accepted. Right now, I’m in “Bootcamp”, a 1-week intensive training with sessions from Economists from UofT, MIT, and UC Berkeley. We’re covering topics such as token economics, incentive mechanisms, compliance, reputation systems, and market design. Following the Bootcamp, we will submit a Business Proposal from which CDL will downselect 25 (out of 49) teams to progress through the program over the course of the next year. I killed it today and will kill it the rest of the week, so have full confidence we’ll be invited to attend the in-person meeting in Montreal in either October or December. During this in-person meeting, we undergo a series of meetings/interviews with mentors and investors to set goals and objectives. Future engagements will be to gauge progress, evaluate, and adjust as needed. I’m usually a pretty modest dude, but not now: we are going to absolutely DOMINATE this. You have my word that I will give this and everything we are doing my all. Oh, and we have two very exciting calls in the next two weeks. One, with Scott Stornetta on Thursday (dude is mentioned in the Bitcoin whitepaper). The other one is somehow even more exciting and I can’t share. I know I’ve been pumped about what we are doing the 1+ year I’ve been a part of the team. But this is next level, guys. We got this….be patient….let us do our thing….glory awaits.
